New Website Reflects Corporate Lifestyle Hub at Quorum Business Park

Quorum Business Park is not only “the better place to work”; an entire lifestyle has now been created around the North East development, which has recently been reflected and highlighted within a brand new website, created for the park by Intimation Creative Ltd.

Quorum is one of the UK’s leading business parks, having grown immensely within the last few years to become one of the leading most desirable business bases within the country.

The Park’s original website had grown organically to a point where information was no longer clearly and logically categorised. The rapid growth of the park and encompassing news, activities and further developments, demanded a revised site to embrace the new technologies and reflect Quorum’s cutting edge focus.

To Intimation Creative, the Gateshead based design Company, the requirement was clear: a complete redesign and redevelopment of Quorum’s website, incorporating their many facets in a clear, concise and attractive format, appealing not only to existing users but offering informative and current news and vital information to potential businesses, clients and visitors to the emerging leader in UK business parks.

The opportunity for Intimation, who have worked extensively with Quorum, having started their business at one of Quorum’s dynamic office spaces, presented a challenging project which Andy Smith, Intimation’s Director, was extremely excited to rise to.

Intimation are very pleased to be working with Quorum on the continual development of their online presence as it provides an ideal opportunity to demonstrate our technical ability of delivering websites of this magnitude and caliber.

Having worked on several online projects in the past that have involved substantial users and complex booking systems for the clients, our technical experts across our studios in Haddington and Gateshead came together to deliver an outstanding website for Quorum which meets both the needs of park users and potential investors to the park.

Andy Smith, Director, Intimation Creative Ltd

Incorporating state of the art office spaces, retail outlets, nursery facilities, a sports club and regular social events, Quorum sits on artfully landscaped grounds and brings together a healthy work/life balance within one, easily accessed, close to town, centre with no congestion and plentiful parking.

The colourful, clear and interactive site outlines current charity days, sport, leisure and social activity news and reflects Quorum’s commitment to social media; a strategy which has been developed and linked into the new site, pushing visitors through and attracting renewed interest.

Quorum are dedicated to creating a healthy work environment and their new site reflects this; not only a place of work but a lifestyle and a dynamic place to be.

Intimation Creative help Kinesio UK in their bid for Olympic Gold

Intimation Creative Ltd  is delighted to have completed another packaging design job, commissioned by Kinesio UK, the manufacturers of the colourful taping used by Olympic athletes.

Andy Smith, Director of Intimation Creative Ltd says, ”We have designed everything from the packaging for the product which is available from Boots, to Point of Sale items such as Free Standing Display Units for exhibition use.”

Kinesio is the manufacturer and supplier of the injury supporting and prevention tape to the industry and are also dedicated to providing health care professionals with the most up-to-date research and authorised training for Kinesio Taping available through the International Kinesio Taping Association.

Dr Kenzo Kase says he came up with the design because he found standard taping techniques, like conventional strapping, too restrictive for his patients. Kinesio tape is water resistant, flexible and allows better lymphatic flow, reducing pain and swelling. Additionally, it is claimed, Kinesio tape gives athletes an edge by assisting with injury repair, where conventional tape is too restrictive.

Although Kinesio tape has been successfully used by athletes for research, development and clinical trials for over 25 years, this innovative product shot into the public eye when David Beckham sported the tape during an England match and is heavily promoted by Spurs player, Gareth Bale; PFA Player of the Year for 2011; who features largely on Intimation’s packaging design for Kinesio.

Intimation is a design, marketing and branding specialist with two UK bases currently, one of which, situated in Gateshead, came to the attention of Kinesio UK MD, Kevin Anderson, who is always keen to promote North-East businesses.

Following Intimation’s successful completion of packaging design and exhibition display units, Kevin has since recommended Intimation Creative’s work to his trade contacts.

Brought further into the public eye during London 2012, Kinesio has prompted speculation and interest from athletes across the globe: BBC Online 3rd July 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-18672458

Gateshead Design Studio’s Dreaming of a Green Christmas

PRESS RELEASE – 8th December 2011

Intimation Creative Christmas Window!

Stepping above the call of duty is commonplace for Intimation Creative when it comes to valued clients.

However to make use of waste cardboard which was causing concern at Durham Wildlife Trust’s headquarters to artistically create a festive window display masterpiece, is truly turning someone else’s junk into artistic gold….or should that be “GREEN”?

Andy Smith, Director at Intimation Creative Ltd and Manager of Intimation’s Gateshead studio, along with his design team had a genius idea when confronted with the dilemma presented to them by Durham Wildlife Trusts Director Jim Cokill. Deciding to put the Trust’s waste cardboard and donations of the paper variety from other clients, including Kinesio Taping UK and the Quorum Business Park, to seasonal good use to transform their empty studio window in Gateshead’s aptly named “creative quarter”, into a green theme festive scene, recreating popular local landmarks, as their Christmas window offering.

“When Jim first mentioned he had an overflow of cardboard which the Trust needed to recycle we were intrigued as to what creative solution we could come up with to solve the situation over the festive period. Our creative team have worked hard to really design and create something out of nothing! It’s been a great experience with all our clients getting involved and it’s fantastic to see everyone pull together and see the finished display.” Andy Smith (Intimation Creative)

Kevin Anderson, Managing Director, Kinesio UK says: “We’re full of amazement that such a beautiful and innovative Christmas display can be made from waste materials. But then Andy and his team are always very creative with Kinesio UK artwork so it’s to be expected. It really is a lovely sight and well worth a visit. We liked using the QR codes and spotting all the landmarks.”

The display, which is now complete and drawing a lot of attention, additionally makes clever use of QR codes, which, when scanned with passing smart phones, directs the user to various pieces of donating clients’ design work, completed by Intimation Creative Ltd.

A stunning piece of promotion, a work of art and a recycling heaven, all within a reclaimed railway arch.

Whilst children flock to view Fenwick’s celebrated annual animated Christmas window, those techno wizards and environmentally aware amongst us, should assemble at arch number 14; making supreme use of old cardboard and some sticky back plastic.

To see the display, please go to Arch 14, High Level Parade, Wellington Street, Gateshead, NE8 2AJ
